Schedule a

Free Phone Consultation

Still not sure if we’re a fit? That’s okay. Remember, you are hiring me. Write down what questions or concerns you still have and let’s have a phone call to discuss.

Please note, this is not a first appointment or intake assessment. It’s a time for you to see if you’d like to schedule that first appointment with me as your therapist.

I'll address any questions you have, talk through what sessions might look like, and I can further explain how everything works if you're new to any of this. I don't expect you to understand it all right now, that's what this call is for.

Services I Provide

Services I Provide

Individual Therapy

These sessions consist of one on one conversations between you and me. We can talk about anyone else you'd like and whatever it is that's bringing you to therapy, but those people won't be physically or virtually present during our sessions. You alone are my client and together we will work towards the goals you have set. These individual therapy sessions can take place virtually or outdoors, if you are located in Chicago.

Walk and talk sessions offer an opportunity to meet outdoors in this beautiful city. If you're worried about seeing someone you know and how we'll handle that, we can definitely discuss this. For these Walk and Talk sessions, we can meet at the lakefront for a safe, outdoor option in the time of COVID-19. Therapy does not only have to look like you and I sitting across from one other in an office, especially when the real work is done internally. & that, we can do just about anywhere. Individual Therapy is for you if...

  • You'd benefit from a personalized therapeutic relationship catered only to your individual goals and needs

  • You want to have full control over the topics discussed during therapy. There is no one else you will be sharing your time with so you can also control the amount of time we spend on any given topic

  • You want to be in control of managing the other relationships in your life. We can work together to think of how you might resolve conflicts with others, but they will not be present during our time together. Your time is your time!

Individual Therapy

Family Therapy

These sessions consist of sessions between you and your family unit. As a product of the child welfare system, I'm aware that family can mean different things to different people. If your family is you and your spouse, that is beautiful to me. If your family consists of you, your siblings, and your grandmother, that is also beautiful to me. These sessions are to work through conflict and help build healthy relationships with those you love most. Some things that may bring families to therapy include:

  • Pre-marital Counseling

  • Blended Families

  • Loss or Grief

  • Childhood Trauma/Adverse Childhood Experiences

  • Addiction/Partner Addiction Support

  • Divorce

  • Chronic Illness

  • Intimacy/Sex

  • Work/Life/Family Balance

  • Fostering/Adoption

This list is not all-inclusive. There are many other things that bring families to therapy, so don't panic if none of these describe your desire to seek therapy. Some people would simply like to learn how to communicate better with their families and others just need a space to do so with a neutral party present. These are all okay and within my scope of service.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision

If you are a MSW graduate located in the State of Illinois, you will need 3,000 hours of satisfactory, supervised clinical professional experience after receiving your degree. Any hours obtained prior to receiving your MSW (including field placement experience) does not count toward this amount. As a LCSW in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, I am qualified and would be happy to be your supervisor. If your place of employment does not offer it or if the supervisor does not meet your needs, please contact me. The requirements for supervision are below:

  • I am happy to offer individual supervision or group supervision (if you have a small group of clinicians you'd like to meet with in order to lower costs)

  • We must meet for 4 hours per month - I am happy to do weekly 1-hour sessions or biweekly 2-hour sessions

  • We will discuss clinical cases, personal experiences impacting your work, self-care, study techniques for the LCSW exam, and I will let you tell me what you want more or less of during our time together

  • If your current place of employment does not have a LCSW on site, just ask if they will contract with an outside provider and I am able to provide monthly invoices for payment

According to the NASW, "the section of the Social Work Rules Administrative Code that addresses supervision does not address whether supervision can be done in-person or remotely. Especially during current COVID-19 conditions and given the position of the malpractice insurance carriers, we do not imagine video or phone supervision being an issue. However, please note that these regulations are set by the state licensing boards. NASW does not have jurisdiction over these rules, and we strongly encourage you to reach out to IDFPR for confirmation."
